Introduction
Men are challenged from every aspect of their lives: their wives, children, career, and then their own personal lives.
If you are serious about becoming the man God intends you to be, Shamgar Discipleship training is for you. Our training is an intense workshop to equip
men to use what you have, where you are, and do what you can in your normal sphere of influence to be an obedient and effective disciple of Jesus Christ.
Workshop topics include:

* How to give your personal testimony and share the gospel without fear
* How to pray, biblically and effectively
* How to know the will of God
* How to be a man of integrity
* How to have a balanced Christian life
* How to lead your wife and family with integrity
A nonprofit organization, Shamgar, Inc. is dedicated to producing serious-minded, mature laborers of Jesus Christ. To ask daily, "What have I done today to know Christ better?" and, "What have I done today to make Christ known?"
Today, hundreds of graduates are serving as disciple makers throughout the United States. In addition to the workshops presented at our ranch, Shamgar curriculum has been taught in numerous churches, men's groups, and workshops throughout Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Shamgar was founded in 1969 as a ministry with a vision to build real men of God; to train men how to feed themselves from the Word of God and mature spiritually, to teach the blocking and tackling of one-to-one discipleship, and encourage men to engage in the Biblical command of making disciples (spiritual multiplication). Multiplying Christians ultimately produce multiplying Christians, thus the timeless objective of this ministry is to train disciples who in turn will evangelize and disciple others. The principles presented in our workshops are not new, however, they are indeed transcultural, eternally relevant, and individually empowering.
With Shamgar staff support, graduates are encouraged to emulate the model of one-to-one discipleship by first being mentored, then inspired to invest their knowledge and experience through mentoring a man themselves of whom will be encouraged to do the same in the life of another. Thus helping to fulfill Jesus' command to make disciples as you are going in your daily life and normal sphere of influence.
The ministry training center is located six miles East of Tyler, Texas. Workshops can accommodate up to sixteen men at a time. The schedule of the two-part series starts promptly at 7pm on friday evening and concludes saturday afternoon at 5pm. We believe so strongly in the need to equip men to be godly leaders, that your accommodations, meals, training and instructional materials are all furnished free of charge. While we never require anyone to pay for attending our trainings, we ask however for prayer consideration of a tax deductible donation to help defray the cost of the food and training materials.
